Officers asked to ensure timeline completion of projects, judicious utilization of funds

DDC Rajouri reviews progress of works under District Capex Plan

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal Saturday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the physical and financial progress made under District Capex budget 2021-22.
Officers present in the meeting included CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE Hydraulics, JP Singh; SE PWD, ACP, Abdul Rashid Kohli; ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed; ExEn PWD Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain; ExEn PDD Rajouri, Narotam Kumar; ExEn PMGSY Rajouri, Subash Chander; ExEn PMGSY Budhal, Abdul Gani and other concerned officers.
The DDC took a comprehensive review of the physical and financial achievements of the works being executed by different departments including Jal Shakti, PDD, PMGSY, PWD RDD, Ground water, Health and Education under the District Capex budget in the district.
The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs 919 crores have been approved under District Capex budget for the financial year 2021-22 against which an expenditure of 11 percent has been incurred till date. Taking note of the meagre expenditure of funds, the DDC asked the concerned officers to ensure that the funds are utilised timely.
Taking sector wise stock of the progress, he he directed the concerned officer to take immediate steps to tender all the works so that the funds provided for the execution of the developmental projects are utilised well within the time. The meeting was informed that under B2V3 929 works are being executed by RDD, Jal Shakti, PDD and Ground water in the district. It was also apprised that out of 827 works under RDD, 547 works have been allotted and 174 works have been completed. Similarly, 07 works are being executed by Jal Shakti and 14 works by PDD. Regarding the works being executed by the Groundwater department, the meeting was told that against the target of installing 81 handpumps 50 have been completed in all respects.
