DC Kulgam reviews progress of registration under PMJAY-SEHAT

Kulgam  : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Saturday chaired a meeting to review the progress of registration of beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-SEHAT Scheme (AB-PMJAY-SEHAT) and generation of Golden Cards in the district.
On the occasion, threadbare deliberations were held on present status and achievements made under AB-PMJAY-SEHAT in Kulgam district.
The meeting also discussed in detail the modalities for speeding up the registration for SEHAT scheme and directions were passed on to all the concerned to redouble efforts to achieve 100 percent target of registration of beneficiaries under the scheme in the district.
During the meeting, it was informed that out of a total 410030 beneficiaries target, 253378 cards have been generated.
It was also informed that there are 311 CSCs functioning across the district and special help desks have been established to facilitate the beneficiaries in every block for easy and smooth registration of beneficiaries.
It was also given out that there are 89 percent families who have at least one family member registered under the scheme.
During the meeting, the DC also directed the concerned authorities to start Information Education and Communication (IEC) activities by roping in all concerned departments for creating mass awareness in the district for speeding up registration process.
Dr Bilal also added that AB PM-JAY SEHAT Scheme is one of the most ambitious schemes launched by the Government to provide free of cost Universal Health Insurance Coverage up to Rs. 5 lakh per family on a floater basis in convergence with Central Government’s Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Development Commissioner, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Block Medical Officers, Tehsildars, Manager CSC and other officers.
Later the Deputy Commissioner in a separate meeting reviewed over all functioning of health sector and stressed for proper implementation of various schemes and to ensure 100 percent institutional deliveries and to provide best patient care services to the patients in hospitals.
