DC Budgamfor development of result oriented projects in Ichgam, Qazibagh Panchayats

Budgam : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza Saturday called for development of result oriented projects in Ichgam and Qazibagh Panchayat halqas under Kah- Charai land compensation.
In this regard, the DC chaired a meeting of officers and PRIs of Ichgam and Qazi Bagh to discuss developmental plan to be carried out under Rs. 8.40 crore, earmarked for these panchayat halqas under KLC.
While discussing the plan, the DC emphasized that the amount should be spent on projects like development of library, schools, community centre, indoor and outdoor sports stadiums, gym centers, public parks, solid waste management facilities and other projects for better public use.
He instructed concerned authorities to exclude lane-drain works and other small projects being constructed under various other schemes.
He emphasized that a robust development plan is carried out and the projects under KLC should be result oriented and visible on the ground in both panchayat Halqas. He said that these projects shall also cater and facilitate residents of other adjacent villages.
Later on, chairing another meeting, the DC reviewed progress of languishing projects and directed concerned to expedite work and ensure timely completion of all undergoing projects in the district.
The meeting among others was attended by, JD Planning, ACD, CMO Exen JK Police Housing Board, Exen SICOP, DGM Housing Board Srinagar, BDO Budgam, AD Planning, and Sarpanchs and Panchs from Ichgam and Qazibagh.
