Rajouri: MSK Team sensitises Nursing staff about BBBP Campaign

Rajouri : On the directions and Supervision of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal, District Hub for Empowerment of Women (MSK Rajouri under MoWCD, Govt. of India) organised an Awareness- cum- interaction session for Nursing and Para-medical staff here at Government Medical College Rajouri.
The MSK teram sensitized the participants about the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Campaign.
Dr Mahmood, Medical Superintendent GMC and AH, highlighted the achievements and gave a brief overview on the overall initiatives taken by the District Administration Rajouri under the banner of Women Empowerment in district Rajouri.
Dr Anum Mirza (Women Welfare Officer) highlighted the working of the Department. She said change requires policies and programmes that will improve women’s access to secure livelihoods and economic resources.
She listed the numerous women centric schemes launched by the Ministry of Women & Child Development like SAKSHAM, E-SHARAM, Sukanya Samridhi Yojna,WHL 181, Special Women Police Stations, Shelter Home, Pension Schemes, National Scholarship Portal, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Hunnar, Aaasra Scheme, State Marriage Assistance Scheme, provision of prosthetic aid, National family benefit scheme, Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme, Scholarship for Single Girl Child, Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme, Employment generation programmes including Tejeswani, Mumkin, JKEDI, PMEGP.*
The team stressed on *SAKSHAM* which provides financial assistance in form of Scholarships to students for completing their Higher Education and Pensions to aggrieved Family Members. Focus was also laid on registration of eligible beneficiaries on E- SHARAM portal where they may get insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh in case of death.
