Notorious drug peddler arrested in Budgam, Contraband substance recovered: police

Budgam  : Police on Friday said that it has arrested a notorious drug peddler in Budgam and also recovered contraband substance from his possession.
In a statement issued on Friday police said that a Police party from PS Budgam at a checkpoint established at Katresh Mohanpora Chowk Budgam and intercepted a suspicious person identified as Sahil Ahmed Bhat son of Khazir Mohammad Bhat resident of OmporaBudgam, stating therein further that during checking, 110 grams of Charas & 75 tablets of Spasmoproxyvon-Plus were recovered from his possession.
Stating that the above named accused have been arrested shifted to police station where he remains in custody, Police in it’s statement further said that a case vide FIR No. 26/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation has been initiated.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police warned that people found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law but subsequently appealed them to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units
