DDC Doda reviews performance of PMGSY department

Doda  : District Development Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma Friday reviewed the achievements of the PMGSY department during the current financial year here at a meeting held here in the DC office complex.
The DDC enquired about the targets set for the department for Blacktopping, metalling, shingling, fair weather roads and coverage of targeted habitations. He also sought details with regard to the works being held up or having slow progress and other bottlenecks, if any.
Reviewing the Division and sub division wise progress, the DDC expressed concern over poor performance against the prescribed targets. He directed the concerned AEEs to expedite the progress to complete the road connectivity projects at the earliest. Salary of an AEE with poor performance was withheld by the DDC.
The DDC also directed to monitor the work wise progress on a daily basis in each sub division and take strict action against the poor performing officials. He also sought reasons for not blacklisting the defaulter contractors for their casual attitude and delay in the execution of the allotted works.
Further, the DDC directed the department to ensure that no work is held up or delayed by any contractor. He asked to submit the feasibility report on the application of Evotherm technology in the district by this evening.
The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, SE PMGSY, Ex En PIU Doda and AD Planning. Besides, AEEs and JEs were also present.
