Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal Friday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress made in the construction of E classrooms in different schools of the district under tribal sub-plan.
Officers who attended the meeting included CPO, Mohammad Khurshid and ExEn PWD Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain.
The meeting was informed that as many as twenty schools of the district have been selected where E-class rooms are being developed under the tribal sub-plan. The administrative approval for thirteen has been received while the civil work has been allotted for six E-class rooms, the meeting was told.
The E classroom technology will enable students to grasp concepts more quickly and fully, to connect theory and applications more easily and to engage in learning more readily.
Speaking at the meeting, the DDC said that the E-class rooms will also improve instructional techniques, and facilitate the widespread and easy sharing of knowledge and help in imparting concepts.
The DDC asked the concerned officers to ensure that the work on all the E classrooms is completed at the earliest to provide desired benefit to the tribal students.
The concerned officer from the School Education Department was directed to submit the report regarding the enrollment of the tribal students in these schools.
The DDC also stressed on judicious use of funds under the tribal plan besides asking for adhering to guidelines of the Tribal Department while executing the work on the E classrooms.
