Salary of XEN Gandoh withheld , SE Hydraulics asked to black list non performing contractors

Doda : District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today asked the JPDCL to start preparation for commissioning of 71 newly constructed Power Infrastructure projects in different parts of the District.
He issued the directions during back to back meetings of officers of Rural Development, Jal Shakti , Irrigation and Power Development departments to review their performance under Area Development Plan of PRIs, NABARD and District Capex here at the conference hall of the DC office today.
The DDC took a detailed review of performance of RDD under Area Development Plan including tendering of works, status of allotment, physical and financial completion as of ending January 2022.
He directed the ACD and BDOs to pursue the sanction of bills pending for payment at treasury level and mobilise the contractors to expedite the execution of ongoing works for time bound completion.
Moreover, the DDC directed to constitute fresh committees at Block levels for the payment of material liability and works verification of 2017-18,19,20. He asked to complete the process within the next 15 days.
Later, the DDC took a review of Irrigation and Jal Shakti departments. He instructed both the departments to expedite the pace of progress on their respective schemes and mobilise the material at all the pending work sites to facilitate resumption of work soon after the melting of snow. The DDC also directed the SE Hydraulics Doda to review the work wise progress of all the divisions.
Taking cognisance of the poor performance by Ex En Jal Shakti Spl Sub division Gandoh, the DDC ordered withholding of his salary with immediate effect. Besides, he also sought explanation from Ex En Jal Shakti Doda for showing poor performance of expenditure under regular component schemes and failing to inform the meeting about the updated progress report on the approved works.
While reviewing the progress of JPDL under capex and rural and urban electrification, the DDC directed the AEE project wing to submit the updated status of work done by Transrail within the next seven days. Besides, he asked the Shalaka Infra to hand over all the 71 completed sites to JPDCL within seven days and directed the concerned EX En to devise a 10 day schedule of handing over of these 71 sites.
Further the DDC directed the concerned to submit the list of habitations which have been covered under these 71 sites, besides asking them to submit the list of habitations yet to be electrified.
The meeting was attended by CPO DODA, ACD Doda, BDOs, Ex Ens, besides AEEs and JEs were also present.
