Dr Sudan reviews function of SOTTO at Steering Committee meeting

Jammu : Dr. Shashi Sudhan Sharma, Principal and Dean, Govt. Medical College and Associated Hospitals Jammu at Super specialty Hospital (SSH) Jammu on Wednesday reviewed the functioning of State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) J&K here at a meeting of its Screening Committee.
The Principal GMC stressed on the need to create awareness among the masses regarding the Brain death, deceased human organ donation and allied awareness. She also exhorted for launching a concerted Information, Education and Communication campaign among the stakeholders.
It was also decided to create a dedicated website and logo for SOTTO J&K. All the members of steering committee were apprised that SOTTO J&K is in process to register various hospitals of J&K for starting human organ and tissue transplantation with Director General of Health Services (DGHS) New Delhi.
