DDC reviews progress under PMGSY sector in Poonch, Asks to expedite progress & adhere to timelines

Poonch : District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today reviewed the progress achieved under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana( PMGSY) in the district, here in the meeting.
During the meeting, the DDC took a detailed review from the concerned officers regarding the physical and financial progress achieved under different schemes.
He also reviewed the 6 major project under PMGSY of district poonch and set timeline upto march 15 namely, construction 5km road from saila to Marha in block Bufliaz, upgradation of 10.50 Km road from Bufliaz to Kalali, Construction of 7 KM road from Toi to Behramgala, Construction of 8 KM road from Chandimarh to Dugria, construction of 5KM road from Bonikhet to Chanansar and Construction of 3 KM road from Jallia to Cheladandri.
In the meeting, Xen PMGSY, Block Mendhar, Ajay Kapahi informed that a total of 66 works in block Mendhar in which 58 works have been completed to till date and assure that the remaining will be complete upto march 31, 2022, subject to the conducive weather for laying BT work.

The DDC asked the concerned officer to ensure the time bound completion of work on the projects so that necessary benefits in terms of connectivity are provided to the common masses with these projects.
He also directed the early execution of these projects with the matching of state monitoring/ National monitoring parameters and also directed the contractors to whom projects are alloted that the works may be expedited under the supervision of the PMGSY department.
The DDC strictly instructed the Executive engineers to execute the works at an earliest otherwise action will be taken under relevant section and also said action will be taken against lazy and erring contractors who delay the execution of works.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Madan Lal, CEO Tourism, Dr. Mohd. Tanveer, Assistant Director Planning, M.A Khan, Executive Engineers of PMGSY, contractors besides other concerned officers/officials were present.
