Block Diwas: DDC Poonch listens to public Issues at Mendhar

Distt Admin making untiring efforts to ensure holistic, substantial & equitable dev of all regions

Poonch : District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Inder Jeet today listened to public issues during the weekly Block Diwas program held at HSS, Chhatral Block Mendhar. The people in large numbers interacted with the officers and officials of different departments and apprised them of the issues, demands and developmental needs in their respective areas. During the programme, PRI members and locals raised various issues including augmentation of water and power supply, opening of Jk bank branch and ATM near HSS chhatral, passenger sheds near HSS, chattral, completion of lift scheme, namely Bhatinda to Nar Chatral, Giar and narool , upgradation of receiving station chatral up to 250 KVA. Other issues included Bridge for chathral nalla, bridge for Banola river, demands for High breed seed on subsidy rates to vegetable growers, 10 Greenhouse, highbreeds fruit plantation for fruit growers, police post near HSS chatral, demands for Special recruitment of Police, residential quarters for employes, library and hand pump for HSS Chatral, repair of water pipe line of HSS chhatral, constructions of all irrigation khools of Chatral, Some more issues included completion of Bhatidar to kulian road, construction of protection wall over river bed, connectivity of 2.5km chack Banola to chunga road, extension of man days from 100 days to ,200 days, completion of chunga to chroon road, Sub centre health centre for chroon, adequate staff of newly upgraded HS Chroon, completion of mini secretariat at mendhar, Responding to the demands, the DDC assured the public that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. He directed the officers to work in coordination so that equitable development of all panchayats is ensured in the district and people do not have to face any problems. The Deputy Commissioner also planted a sapling in the lawn of HSS Chhatral under the aegis of Har Gaon Hariyali. During the Block diwas, the Deputy Commissioner also appreciated all those employees who have done good work during covid-19. The officers/officials of all line departments present on the occasion registered the demands and grievances of the locals with an aim to ensure redressal of grievances in minimum possible time. Meanwhile, the SSP appealed to the public to make them aware of the ill-effects of drugs and said they should keep a watch on drug smugglers in their respective areas along with the police and keep their children away from drugs. DDC vice Chairperson, Ashfaq Chowdhary, BDC Member, Tayira Jabeen, Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch, Abdul Sattar, Senior Superintendent of Police, Rohit Baskotra, ACD, Rajesh Lakhan,SDM Mendhar , Sahil jandial, Tehsildar Mendhar, Gorav Sharma, Chief Horticulture Officer, Satvir Singh, DFO,(T) DFO (S), ACP, Shafiq Mir, CEO Tourism,Dr.Mohd.Tanveer, CEO education, Abdul Majeed, Chief Agriculture Officers besides all district and sectoral officers and all sarpanches and Panchs were present.
