Udhampur : District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur, under the guidance of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Y P Bourney on Monday organised an awareness programme, in collaboration with the Education Department, to raise awareness about the “Victims of Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation.”
The aim of the Programme was to spread awareness about the issues related to Sexual Exploitation.
The DLSA, Udhampurorganised a Webinar on the Subject attended by the students of Government Higher Secondary School Krimchi; Government Higher Secondary School Salmeri; BhartiyaVidyaMandir High School Udhampur and Government High School Garhi, Uhampur.
The Secretary DLSA, while raising awareness about the sensitive subject, informed the participants about the various initiatives run by the Government of India in favour of Victims of Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation.
The Principals of the schools Chanchla Devi, Nasib Singh, Renu Sharma &SantoshKumari along with the school staff were also present in the Programme.
The Participants were made aware about the different schemes of NALSA related to rehabilitation of victims of trafficking by Rajni Sharma (Sub Judge) Secretary; DLSA Udhampur.
The Resource Persons of the Programme were Panel Lawyers Adv. Pawan Gupta, Adv. Nikhileshwar Singh and Adv. Mallikarjun Singh Slathia.
