Militant module busted in Ganderbal 3 associates arrested: Police

Ganderbal  : Police on Saturday said that it has busted a militant module by arresting 3 militant associates linked with LeT|TRF militant outfit along with arms & ammunition in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
In a statement issued on Saturday said that while acting on specific information, a special joint checkpoint was established by Police, 24RR and 115Bn CRPF at Shuhama area of Ganderbal and upon checking movement of three suspects was spotted and were intercepted by the joint forces.
Stating that the three suspects were identified as Faisal Manzoor son of Manzoor Ahmad Lone resident of Braripora Shopian, AzharYaqoob son of MohdYaqoobGanie resident of Zaipora Shopian and Nasir Ahmad Dar son of MohdAyoub Dar resident of BegamKulgam, police in it’s statement said that during personal searches of all the three suspects incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including two Chinese Pistols,three Pistol Magazines, 15 rounds of ammunition, two hand grenades and three mobile phones were recovered from their possession following which they were formally arrested and shifted to police station.
“During preliminary investigation it was revealed that the trio was working as militant associates of LeT/TRF militant and all the three were involved in providing shelter, logistic support and transportation of arms and ammunition to the active militants across the district”, reads the above referred police statement, adding that “ all the three militant associates were also involved in various terror related activities in the district”.
In the concluding para of the above quoted statement police said that a case vide FIR No 07|2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Ganderbal and further investigation is in progress.
