DC Kupwara appeals people for vaccination, implementation of CAB

Kupwara : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din Friday said that vaccination and Covid-19 appropriate behavior (CAB) are the only tools to safeguard against the Covid-19 pandemic disease.
The DC was addressing a press conference about the covid mitigation efforts in his office chamber here, Friday.
Giving details about the Covid-19 scenario in the district, he said that there are currently 1649 active positive cases of Covid-19 in the district with a 5.48 percent positivity rate. Besides, the district has recorded 16758 recovered cases constituting 90.19 percent recovery rate adding that 172 deaths have also occurred since the inception of Covid-19 corresponding to 0.92 percent fatality rate.
The DC appealed to the youth of the 15-17 year age group to come forward and vaccinate themselves against the Covid. He also appealed to the adults to get booster doses for additional safety against the pandemic.
