J&K Bank celebrates 73rd Republic Day

Srinagar :As part of the country-wide celebrations on the 73rd Republic Day, J&K Bank MD & CEO BaldevPrakash unfurled the national tricolor in the lawn of Bank’s Zonal Office at Jammu in presence of President Sunit Kumar, Zonal Head Shareesh Sharma besides a good gathering of Bank staff while following proper Covid protocol.
This year’s Padma Shree Awardee Prof VishwaMurtiShastri – Chief Guest on the occasion – was felicitated by the MD & CEO on behalf of the Bank. Meanwhile, two other Padma Shri awardees from LadakhTseringNamgyal and Akhone Asgar Ali were also felicitated by Bank’s Zonal Head Ladakh Tsewang Dorjey and Head Business Unit Kargil respectively.
In his message, MD & CEO congratulated the staff on the occasion and urged them to enhance their contributions towards the economic development of the people by sharpening their focus on achieving the organisational objectives of sustained growth and systemic efficiency. “
As bankers, we can successfully contribute towards the country’s overall progress only by making timely and tailored financial interventions in peoples’ lives to improve their socio-economic status”, MD & CEO said.
He also laid emphasis on making financial interventions effective through proper follow-up and efficient monitoring mechanisms.
Affirming their commitment in the achievement of larger national goals of economic development, the participants also reiterated their resolve to attain the organisational goals of growth and institutional development.
The Republic Day was also celebrated at all zonal offices of the bank.
Notably, the Padma Shri awardees are also valuable customers of the Bank.
In Srinagar, Executive President Sunil Gupta unfurled the National Flag at Bank’s Corporate Headquarters in presence of Presidents RajniSaraf, ChetanPaljor, Ashraf Ali, Karanjit Singh, AshutoshSareen, Peer Masood Ahmad, Anil Deep Mehta and Syed RaisMaqbool, Vice Presidents and other senior officers of the Bank. The unfurling of the flag was followed by singing of the national anthem in unison by all the participants. Digital Training Programme “DASTAQ-e-SHOPIAN Held At Shopian.
