GDC Kunjwani organises awareness prog on Cyber Security

Jammu : To spread awareness about cyber security, Government Degree College Kunjwani organized a webinar on the topic “Why is Cyber Security Important?” under the patronship of the Principal of the college, Prof Hans Raj.
Dr.PreetiDubey, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Application, GCW Parade, Jammu was the resource person.
In her illuminating talk, Dr.PreetiDubey briefed the participants about the importance of cyber security especially in the present scenario of its excessive use and accessibility. She discussed various types of cyber crimes and gave some tips to be cyber safe. She discussed in detail different cyber laws and various portals for reporting cyber criminal activities.
The Principal of the college, Prof. Hans Raj, in his motivating talk, hailed the resource person and threw some light on cyber security and its criticality. He complimented the committee members for organizing this awareness program and called upon students to avail the maximum benefit from the talk of the resource person.
The staff members and students of the college attended the awareness program. The program was open for participants to ask their questions and the resource person deliberated upon the same.
