DC reviews power supply scenario in Poonch distt

Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, InderJeet Thursday reviewed the power supply scenario in the district and directed the concerned to ensure scheduled power supply to the consumers.
During the meeting, various issues were discussed in detail which includes the status of receiving stations and power supply to different parts of the district.
The concerned updated the chair about the status of new receiving stations being constructed in the district.
The executive engineer JPDCL informed that against the total revenue collection target of Rs 80 croreRs 25 crore have been realised till December 31, 2021.
The Executive Engineer project wing Rajouri|PoonchMaqboolChowdhary informed that 91 transformers under PMDPR and 85 transformers under DDUGJY scheme were allotted during the year 2021-22 out of which 156 have been installed and ensured that the remaining will be installed before March 31, 2022 positively. He further informed that several Receiving Stations have been completed in the district including, 3.15MVA in BG, 3.15 MVAA in Mendhar, 3.15 in Harni, 3.5 MVA in JarawaliGali, 10 MVA in Surankote.
Setting deadlines for each project, the Deputy Commissioner directed JPDCL to complete installation work of the Receiving Station within 10days.
The Deputy Commissioner strictly instructed to put in extra efforts to realize the revenue targets before the end of current financial year.
Directions were issued to Executive Engineers to monitor the progress on receiving stations and submit the report to the DC office and also maintain consumer Complaint Dairy on a daily basis.
The JEs were asked to conduct regular inspections and regularise the illegal connections in their respective areas and submit the report within 10 days. The Executive Engineers were asked to remove all illegal commercial and domestic connections in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner said that strict action will be taken against those violating the set norms of the department.
The meeting was attended by Executive Engineers JPDLC, IrshadHussain; Xen Project Wing, MaqboolChowdhary; AD Planning, M.A Khan; Assistant Executive Engineers, STD, JE’s and senior officials of the department.
