Poonch: Plantation Drive conducted to mark R-Day celebration

Poonch  : A plantation drive was today conducted by the Forest department to mark the Republic Day celebration here under HarGaonHariyali campaign.
Deputy Commissioner Poonch, InderJeet planted a sapling in the DC office Campus in presence of Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi; DFO (T), Suresh Manda; DFO (SF),NaveedIqbal; Range officer Haveli besides other concerned officers.
Deputy Commissioner Poonch highlighted the importance of plantation in everyday life and said that the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has launched Green Jammu & Kashmir mission under the aegis HarGaonHariyali.
As per directions of the Government, all Panchayats of Poonch will be covered under the programme HarGaonHariyali by planting more than 4 lakh plants during the winter season.
The DFO(T) requested the public to plant at least one sapling during the winter season and contribute to saving the forests of Jammu & Kashmir and Green J&K Drive.
