R-Day Full dress Rehearsal held across Jammu divn distts

Jammu : Impressive parade and colourful programs depicting rich culture and heritage of India and Jammu Kashmir marked the Republic Day 2022 Full Dress Rehearsal across the Districts of Jammu Division.
At Doda: The full dress rehearsal was conducted at District Police Line (DPL) Doda where Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharti hoisted the National flag and took salute at an impressive March past comprising 14 contingents drawn from the CRPF, JKAP, JKP, FPF, Home Guard, NCC, and Government and Private school children besides Police Band. The full dress rehearsal for Republic Day witnessed participation of officers and officials amid strict adherence to COVID SOPs. In his address, the ADC highlighted the efforts of the framers of the Indian constitution for laying the foundation of the great nation, respecting all the communities to live together, giving them fundamental rights pre requisite to the overall development of the Nation. He also paid tribute to the father of the Indian constitution and other freedom fighters who fought tirelessly to gain Independence for the Country. The ADC also highlighted the achievements of the district administration and informed the participants that the district bagged second rank in the entire UT in DGGI rankings. Meanwhile full dress rehearsal for Republic Day celebrations was also held at New Bus Stand Bhaderwah where TehsildarBhaderwahShoket Hayat unfurled the tricolour and took salute at the march past.
At Kishtwar: Amid snowy weather conditions, Republic Day full dress rehearsal was Monday held in the premises of DC Office Complex Mini Secretariat Kishtwar. Additional District Development Commissioner Sham Lal unfurled the Tricolour and took the salute of march past comprising the contingents of CRPF, Police, CISF, JKAP,NCC, Forest Protection Force and Homeguard. The programme was held with due adherence to the COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour.
At Rajouri: Full Dress Rehearsal for 73rd Republic Day was held amid tight security and due adherence to all COVID 19 Protocols here at District Police Lines ground. Additional District Development Commissioner Pawan Kumar hoisted the National Flag and took salute at an impressive march past of contingents drawn from Police, CRPF, Forest Protection Force, NCC and students of different educational institutions besides Police Band. Students also presented scintillating cultural items based on patriotism, cultural traditions and social evils which were highly appreciated by the audience amid thundering applause present on the occasion. The ADDC threw light on the significance of the day saying that the day reminds us of important event in India’s history as it commemorates the enactment of the constitution of India which came into effect on January 26, 1950 making India a republic. He also highlighted the developmental activities being carried out in the district and sought the active cooperation of the general public with the District Administration to take the district to new heights of development.
At Reasi: Full dress rehearsal for the 73rd Republic Day was held at Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium Reasi. Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Star unfurled the National Flag and took the salute at the march past comprising contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, IRP, JK Home Guard, NCC Boys Higher Secondary School, Girls Higher Secondary School and NCC Degree College Reasi. The ADC highlighted the significance of Republic Day and said that the Indian Constitution has a unique place in the democratic world. He also remembered the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters to achieve independence from British rule. The ADC also urged the public to maintain social distance, wear masks and observe all precautions against coronavirus during the celebrations of Republic Day. A Cultural programme was also presented on this occasion students of different Schools participated.
At Kathua: Full dress rehearsal in connection with the celebrations of Republic Day 2022 was held here at Sports Stadium, Kathua. Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Yadav took the salute at an impressive march past of 11 contingents drawn from Police, CRPF, Forest Protection Force, platoons of NCC cadets besides formation of Police Band. On the occasion, students presented scintillating cultural items based on patriotism, cultural traditions and folk dances which were highly liked by the audience present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Yadav called upon the participating students to exhibit their best performance with the spirit of patriotism on the day of function to make the celebration a grand success. He also called upon the officers, school children and public to come in large numbers to celebrate the National function enthusiastically. The DC also gave a resume of Development Profile of District including ongoing projects sector wise achievements of various departments. Underscoring the importance of staying vigilant against the threat of Covid-19, the DC called the citizens to follow Covid Appropriate Behavior as the threat of the third wave of Covid is looming large.
At Samba: Ahead of Republic Day, Full dress rehearsal was held in the district Samba at Sports Stadium Arazi Samba. Additional District Development Commissioner, Tilak Raj Shastri hoisted the Tri-colour and took salute at the March Past, in presence of SSP AbhishekMahajan. The March past contingent was led by Parade Commander Dy. SP DAR Davinder Singh Bandral and Dy. Commander Sohan Singh of JKP which comprised the contingents of JK Police, IRP, Home Guards, Army, NCC Cadets, School children. A Cultural programme featuring patriotic songs, folk dance and music was also presented by the students of Government Degree College, Government Higher Secondary School Girls and others government and private institutions.
At Udhampur: The Republic Day Full dress rehearsal was conducted here at Government PG College Boys Udhampur. Deputy Commissioner, InduKanwalChib hoisted the National flag at 9:55 Am and took salute at an impressive march past comprising 9 contingents drawn from CRPF, SKPA, District Police, NCC besides Police Band, took part in a full dress rehearsal. The DC said that India became a Republic after adoption of the constitution which laid the foundation of the present democratic setup that gives equal rights to all its citizens irrespective of their religion, region, caste colour and creed. She also listed the achievements made by Udhampur District including implementation of all beneficiary oriented Govt Schemes. As many as 06 cultural troupes of different educational institutions also participated in the Full dress rehearsal.
At Poonch: The Full Dress Rehearsal for the 73rd Republic Day celebration was held amid tight security and due adherence to all COVID Protocols here at sports Stadium Poonch. The National Flag was unfurled by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr.BasharatHussain and took salute at the impressive march past of contingents drawn from Police, CRPF, JKP, JKHG,JKAP,JKPQRT Commando, NCC from Degree college Boys &Girls, Jamia Zia UlUloom and ShaheedDyspManjeet Singh Memorial Hr.Sec School Poonch, besides Police Band party were participated. DYSP, DAR, Sachin Gupta was Parade Commander while Inspector RanjeetRao was 2nd in Command. After March-Past, a programme featuring patriotic songs and cultural items was presented by the cultural troupe and students of educational institutions which was highly appreciated by the audience present on the occasion. ADC expressed satisfaction over the performance of parade contingents and cultural items and overall arrangements being put in place for the celebrations of the National Day.
