Khawas being developed under Aspirational Block Prog

Rajouri : Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Pawan Kumar today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss the modalities for smooth implementation of Aspirational Block Development Programme in block Khawas.
Officers present in the meeting included ACD, Sushil Khajuria; ACP, Abdul Rashid Kohli; PO ICDS, Kartar Singh; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; DSHO, Dr SarfrazNaseemChowdhury and other concerned officers.
Jammu & Kashmir Government has rolled out Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) to facilitate expeditious improvement in the Socio-Economic status of 44 most backward Blocks of J&K.
Detailed discussion with regard to collection of data for baseline survey and drafting the action plan for the holistic development of the block was held in the meeting.
The ADDC asked the concerned Departments to adopt best practices so as to get tangible results on ground in a time bound manner.
He also directed the Departments to achieve 100 percent saturation of beneficiaries of individual beneficiary schemes, besides covering the scope of other welfare schemes.
He also exhorted the officers to conduct a preliminary survey in each Panchayats of the block and submit a report on the selected parameters at the earliest.
The ADDC also gave directions for organizing a special drive to mobilize locals of twin blocks which can help them to improve their socio-economic conditions.
