JKAP’s Aijaz Khan seeks compensation for losses suffered by people in Reasi, Ramban

Jammu : Apni Party Vice President and Former Minister Aijaz Ahmed Khan on Saturday demanded adequate compensation of losses suffered by the people in Reasi and Ramban districts due to heavy snow and rains.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Khan said that the people in remote and inaccessible villages of the above districts have suffered badly due to the heavy snowfall and rainfall which has caused great inconvenience.
“The administration should constitute revenue officials teams and send them to the affected areas so that the compensation can be paid adequately,” he said.
He said that till then, the administration should provide dispatch teams with ration and medical kits for the people in snow bound areas of two districts in Jammu region.
He said that the people in these areas should be provided immediate relief by the authorities.
He said that the people who’s residential or cattle sheds have been damaged should also be provided adequate compensation.
