Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has solved solved a theft case by arresting one accused person involved in the commission crime in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district and also recovered stolen property worth lacs of rupees from his possession.
In a statement issued on Friday police said that Police Station Lar on January 17 received a complaint from one person Ishtiyaq Ahmad Rather son of Mohd Maqbool Rather resident of Manigam Lar Ganderbal about theft in his house during the night intervening 15th and 16th January 2022, stating therein that a case vide FIR No. 03/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Lar and investigation was initiated.
Stating that on receiving the above said complaint the SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar constituted a special team led by SHO Police Station Lar under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal which after strenuous efforts arrested one person involved in the commission of crime and identified him as Suhail Ahmad Rather son of Ghulam Mohi-u-din resident of Baghwan Mohalla Manigam Lar Ganderbal, police in it’s statement further said that on the disclosure of the said accused the stolen property worth lacs of rupees including one I-Phone with charger, 02 Watches (Armani & Sekonda) & one Golden ring besides, tools used in the commission of crime were also recovered from his possession.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police said that Police has resolved to act tough against individuals involved in criminal activities.
