Srinagar : To provide due medical care and attention to women and children in Macchal Bowl, the Army has stationed a lady medical officer, centrally located at Dudi.
According to an official statement released by army on Friday the lady medical officer on Friday conducted a Khariyat patrol in Dudi village to inquire about the well-being of the villager’s especially pregnant ladies and other women, girls and children. “The said Doctor carried out medical examination of pregnant ladies. She also examined other villagers including children and also distributed medicines” said army in it’s above referred statement, stating therein further that “such Khariyat patrols will continue by the lady doctor in the days to come with special focus on addressing the medical needs of pregnant ladies”.
In the concluding para of it’s above referred statement the army also said “during the ongoing harsh winter season, pregnant ladies were facing lot of hardships in terms of medical care and situation gets aggravated in places like Macchal Sector, which gets cut off from rest of the Valley frequently during snow spells, due to closure of pass at Z Gali, slippery road conditions and avalanche threat”
