Jammu : Director Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare, Jammu, K. K. Sharma on Friday flagged off IFFCO Nano Urea Publicity Van From KrishiBhawan, TalabTillo. This Publicity Van will cover all
Districts of Jammu division creating awareness and widespread publicity
Regarding benefits of IFFCO Nano Urea.
Those present on the occasion included Joint Director Agriculture (Inputs), A S. Reen, Joint Director (Farms), Rajinder Sharma, DD (Central), R. K.
Hatashi, Agronomist (Vegetables), J. C. Raina, Agriculture Chemist, Aman
Jyoti Sharma besides UT Marketing Manager IFFCO, Joginder Paul Metha,
Field Officer Jammu, VivekVerma and Field Officer Kashmir, Showkat Bhat.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director Agriculture outlined that use of
Nano urea will help in increasing the farmers income by reducing the input
Cost and enhancing the quality of farm produce besides being eco friendly.
The Director informed that a half litre bottle of nano urea has equal
Impact when compared to a bag of urea from the effectiveness perspective.
He said nano urea is convenient in storage and transportation to difficult
Terrains besides having a higher shelf life of one year.
Representative, IFFCO Nano Urea appraised that nano urea is available at
All fertilizer retailer points of Jammu Division at MRP of Rs. 240/ Bottle
Which is 10% less of the conventional urea.
Additionally it was informed that small particle size of nano urea
Increases availability of nitrogen to crops up to 75%. Further it helps in
Maintaining soil health and reducing water and air pollution. Being a non
Subsidy product nano urea will go a long way in achieving sustainable
Development goals in the field of future agriculture.
