R-Day arrangements finalized at Ganderbal

Ganderbal : The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Pir Muzafar Ahmad Thursday finalized arrangements for smooth celebration of forth-coming Republic Day-2022, at a meeting, here.
It was informed that the main function shall be held at Qamaria Ground, Ganderbal where Chief Guest will hoist National Flag and will take salute on the march-past to be presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC and School children.
Various necessary arrangements were discussed in the meeting including security plan, drinking water facility, cleanliness and sanitation, seating arrangement, traffic management, heating and power supply besides others at the venue.
The ADDC on the occasion directed all district heads to ensure adherence to Covid-19 guidelines by maintaining prescribed spacing in seating arrangements for the participants during the function.
The Health Department was directed to deploy ambulance at the venue with sufficient staff and emergency medicines on the full dress rehearsal to be held on January 24 and on the main function to be celebrated on January 26.
Besides, the department was also directed to make arrangements of first aid, sanitizers and masks at the venue along with thermal screening of the audience on the day of the function.
Keeping the weather forecast into consideration, the ADDC instructed concerned people to keep their men and machinery in ready mode and keep all snow related equipment stationed at the ground for prompt response in case there is any snowfall.
The PDD and PHE departments were directed to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply besides the Health department was ordered to deploy doctors and paramedics along with Ambulance and first aid at the venue.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmed Baba, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, ACP, DySP and Executive Engineers of various wings besides other officers from various security wings and civil administration.
