DC Kulgam reviews Covid-19 situation in the distt

Kulgam : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) KulgamDr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Thursday chaired a meeting of officers to review the situation arising due to Covid-19 and the measures and arrangements put in place to contain the spread of virus in the district.
The DC stressed upon the officers to ensure vigorous IEC activities in all areas to sensitize people about the do’s and don’ts which are imperative to stay away from this infection.
He also directed the concerned officers to scale up the vaccination of the 15 -17 age group and ensure maximum coverage of this age group.
The DC also instructed the officers to ensure adequate arrangements at the quarantine centres and to augment the facilities and bed availability in the district.
He also stressed to ensure strict adherence of Covid appropriate behaviour and to mobilize joint teams for strict enforcement of CAB.
Meanwhile it was informed that there are 49 containment zones across the district and aggressive testing and contact tracing mechanism is in place.
During the meeting it was also informed that all 178 PanchayatCovid Care Centers have been made functional.
Meanwhile, the DC urged the people to adopt Covid appropriate behaviour and stick to framed guidelines and SOPs to defeat this virus.
The meeting was attended by ACR, SDM Noorabad, ACD, CMO, BMOs and Tehsildars.
