Samba : As a part of ongoingnationwide celebrations of ‘AzadiKaAmritMahotsav’, an outreach programme on AmritMahotsav and Covid Appropriate Behavior was launched in Samba district on Thursday.
The 4 day campaign has been organised by Field Outreach Bureau, Kathua in collaboration with District Information Office Samba under the aegis of Regional Outreach Bureau (J&K), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India.
On the inaugural day a Public announcement Van for awareness of Covid Appropriate Behavior was flagged off by PawnKohli, President Municipal Council Samba in the presence of RaviKhajuriaCouncilor W.No.7, SanjeevPadha, CouncilorW.No. 3 of Samba, Ajay Sharma, District Information Officer Samba, Vijay Mattoo, FPO, Kathua and DurgaPrakash Manager, ROB Jammu.
Earlier a drawing competition was organized at GGHSS Samba, in which about 25 students of different schools participated.
In the Junior group, Master Shovit Gupta of K.P. Hr. Sec. School bagged 1st position, Ananya Sharma of J.K. Public School Jammu bagged 2nd position and BrindaPadha of K.P. Hr. Sec. School bagged 3rd Position.
In the Senior group, Nayati Rajput got 1st prize, Parul Sharma and KhushiAhirwar got 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively, all from Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Samba.
All the students were honoured by FOB Kathua suitably in the presence of Principal Yashpaul and other staff members of Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Samba.
A cultural programme on CAB and AKAM was also organized at Emergency Hospital Vijaypur with distribution of stickers and masks among the masses. The announcements and distribution of masks will continue in various Blocks of Samba for the next 4 days, informed officials.
