Padma Shri Padma Sachdev GPGCW Gandhi Nagar organises online poster making competition on “Ethical Social Media Use”

Jammu : The Department of Computer Applications, Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt P.G College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, in collaboration with IQAC, organised a poster making competition on “Ethical Social Media Use”.
The competition was held under the banner of “Cyber Jaagrookta (Awareness) Diwas’ ‘. In the competition, the posters were invited online from students between 14th and 19th January and the result of the competition was declared Thursday. The program was held under the patronage of Principal Prof. (Dr.) SangitaNagari. She laid emphasis on organising morevsuch programmes for the overall development of the students and also for saving them from cybercrimes. She also appreciated the creative talents of the students who participated in this competition.
Rohit Gupta, Nodal Officer Cyber Jaagrookta (Awareness) appreciated the students’ efforts. He further added that these activities will definitely keep the students’ engaged, help them in exploring their skills and make them aware of cybercrime. Prof. AmbicaKumari, Dr. Ashok Kumar and Prof. MamtaKundal acted as the judges for the event. In the competition a total of 17 entries were received from the students. The first position was bagged by ManshiVerma of B.ScSem III, second position by Arti Sharma of Sem V and third position by Purvi Sharma of Sem I.
Rohit Gupta, Nodal Officer and organizing committee members Prof. AmbicaKumari, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Prof. Rajinder Kumar, Prof. Poonam and Prof. MamtaKundal congratulated the winners.
