Block Diwas: DC Kathua convenes Public Outreach Camp at Billawar

Kathua : To listen and redress the grievances of common masses, Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Yadav Wednesday convened a Public Outreach Camp here at PWD Rest House Billawar.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Billawar, officers of line departments, members of District Development Council and Block Development Council, Sarpanches and panches of different halqas were present on the occasion
During the camp PRIs projected the issues of public importance and sought immediate redress of the same.
The public representative sought immediate renovation and maintenance of Billawar-Phinter-Sukrala Road. They further demanded early restoration of Bakhatpur water supply scheme as inhabitants of the area are facing drinking water scarcity. They further demanded reduction of the power cuts in the tehsil.
The DC gave a patient hearing to the problems /demands of the people and passed on spot directions to the officers to resolve the grievances of the people at an earliest.
As many as twelve government departments had put up stalls displaying their schemes/programmes to spread awareness among the masses.
The officers interacted with locals and apprised them about the schemes /programmes of their respective departments and encouraged them to avail the benefits of the same.
