DC Rajouri reviews implementation of Mumkin, Tejaswini Schemes

Rajouri |Jan, 18:Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the implementation of schemes related to Mission Youth particularly Mumkin and Tejaswani.
Assistant Director Employment RajouriRekha Bali and Employment Officer Mohammad AslamBeig provided to date achievements and status related to these schemes.
The AD Employment said under the MUMKIN scheme 200 applications were approved by the District Level Implementation of Committee, out of which 89 different kinds of vehicles have been provided to beneficiaries and remaining cases are under progress.
Regarding Tejaswani scheme, the meeting was informed that the scheme has been launched to empower women by providing financial assistance for setting up employment ventures and 793 cases have been forwarded to the banks for sanction till date.
The DC said that the recently launched self-employment schemes under the Mission Youth and those already existing have the capacity and potential to channelize the energy of the youth in a positive direction.
The Deputy Commissioner said that there is a need to create awareness among the rural masses about such schemes so that the benefits reach the last person standing in the queue.
It was also decided in the meeting that the applicant should also submit a Sibal Scorecard along with the undertaking that he/she is not employed in any Government/PSU and the Department shall ensure that all required formalities are completed before submitting the cases to DLTF.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress of registration of unemployed youths in the district.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid, Assistant Director Employment, Rekha Bali, and Employment Officer, Mohammad AslamBeig.
