Srinagar : Mayor Srinagar Mr. Junaid Azam Mattu visited different areas of Shanpora, Rainawari to inaugurate the development works of playground and ordered official to complete the work in time bound manner.
Mayor earlier said that many more similar playgrounds are being planned for Srinagar district in different areas and goal is to ensure that every locality has a sports facility which would enable us to engage the youth in healthy, constructive and positive activities.
Mr. Mayor also visited Water Treatment Plant at Pokhribal and inspected the water samples on the occasion.
“SMC is also going to continue to transform dozens of existing public parks and playfields — many of whom will get state-of-the-art high mast lighting to ensure the youth who can’t play during the day due to their studies and jobs can play in the evenings. Work on these proposals is ongoing and will be put to tenders shortly”, the Mayor added.
