Jammu : Eleven persons made it to the executive committee of Jammu Club as the result of the elections of the Club were announced today by the Returning Officer in the presence of contestants.
Out of total 1678 votes, 1650 votes were polled, out of which 30 votes were declared invalid during the counting while 1648 votes were declared valid.
Indu Puri secured highest 1456 votes in the elections. She was followed by Aditya Gupta (1375 votes), Vikram Sharma (1372 votes), Kavita Gupta (1359 votes), Gaurav Gupta (1320 votes), Er Ashok Gandotra (1287 votes), Dr Sandeep Singh (1249 votes), Dr Uttam Singh (1237 votes), Ashwani Gupta (1212 votes), Er Ashok Sharma (1165 votes) and Chander Kapoor (1095 votes).
Out of other four contestants Sanjeev Soni got 1044 votes followed by Dinesh Singh Chauhan (999 votes), Er Saleem Jhangir Bandey (986 votes) and Rajni Rohmetra (970 votes).
Announcing the result of the elections, Returning Officer Vinod Sharma said that the counting of the votes was held today in the Club under close supervision of him alongwith Scrutinizer Ejaz Ahmed Tak and Seema Khajooria.
He said 11 newly elected members will constitute the executive committee of the Jammu Club for the next two years (2021 – 2023). He said the members will also elect Secretary of the Club.
