New Delhi | Jan,16 : The Editors Guild of India Sunday condemned the manner in which the office and the management of Kashmir Press Club (KPC) were “forcibly taken over” by a group of journalists with the help of armed policemen.
A few journalists accompanied by policemen reached the KPC Saturday and claimed to be the “new management” of the largest journalists’ association in the Valley. The Guild demanded immediate restoration of the status quo before the “hostile takeover” and pushed for an independent inquiry as to how armed forces entered the KPC premises.
