DC calls for intensifying testing, sampling, vaccination and IEC activities

Kishtwar : District Magistrate KishtwarKishtwar Ashok Sharma Saturday chaired the meeting of District Disaster Management Authority and discussed scaling up of COVID19 mitigation to deal with the current Covid surge in the district.
SDM ChatrooInderjeet Singh Parihar; CMO Kishtwar Dr R S Manhas; CEO Kishtwar, Dy CMO, EO MC Kishtwar besides all the Tehsildar and BMOs participated in the meeting through the video conference.
At the outset, the DM Kishtwar reviewed the COVID mitigation measures and discussed modalities for intensifying testing, tracing and treatment.
The chair directed the concerned SDMs and Tehsildar to check the vehicles and public places to ensure the compulsory wearing of Masks and other containment measures.
He sought strict action against SOP violators as per the provisions of relevant Act. Tehsildars were asked to re-activate he surveillance teams already Constituted at sub divisional and Panchayat level, while the CMO was asked to enhance the sampling and start the random sampling in crowded places in the town in co-ordination with the Tehsildars and SHO’s of concerned areas.
The CMO was further directed to share the line listing of all the Positive cases reported with the district COVID-19 Control room on daily basis for contact tracing. He was further asked to keep the Covid Care Centres at Block/panchayat level ready to cater to any kind of eventuality.
The RTPCR testing of all those persons found positive in RAT test was also stressed upon.
EO Municipality Kishtwar was directed to start the fumigation and sanitization of the market areas immediately.
TehsildarKishtwar was asked to supervise the whole process, while EO Municipality was asked to ensure booster dose to all the employees of MC.
After threadbare discussion, directions were passed to CMO, BMOs and CEO Kishtwar to ensure 100% Vaccination of the children in 15-18 year age group.
