Covid-19 In JK: 4 deaths reported in last 24 hours, toll rises to 4557

Jammu, Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir on Saturday reported single day record spike of 3251 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 1129 from Jammu division and 2122 from Kashmir division taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 355874, said J&K Government on Saturday in it’s daily covid bulletin, stating therein further that 4 Covid deaths including 2 from Jammu Division and 2 from Kashmir Division rose J&K’s over all covid death toll to 4557.
Government in it’s covid bulletin furthermore said that moreover, 390more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 239from Jammu Division and151 from Kashmir Division, stating therein further that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported Saturday, thus the total number of confirmed casesremains51 across J&K.On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 62,407doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to1,98,11,732.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 355874 positive cases, 12860are Active Positive (5690in Jammu Division and 7170in Kashmir Division), 338453 have recovered and 4561 have died; 2218 in Jammu division and 2343in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 20221622 test results available, 355874 samples have tested positive and 19865748 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 72,989 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.
Till date 5498174 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7336 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 12860 in isolation and 432882 in home surveillance. Besides, 5040535 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported Saturday, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 624 cases, Baramulla reported 471 cases, Budgam reported 416 cases, Pulwama reported 67 cases, Kupwara reported 137cases, Anantnag reported 228 cases, Bandipora reported 117cases, Ganderbal reported 21cases, Kulgam reported 37cases while as Shopian reported 04 fresh cases for Saturday.
Similarly, Jammu reported 685cases, Reasi reported 42 cases for Saturday, Udhampur reported 125 cases, Rajouri reported 34cases, Doda reported 24cases, Kathua reported 59 cases, Samba reported 93 cases, Poonch reported 35 case, Kishtwar reported 29 cases while as Ramban reported 03 fresh cases for Saturday.
Moreover, the bulletin also highlights that against the availability of 4794 dedicated level 1 & level 2 COVID beds, only 293 ( 6.1%) are occupied.
The bulletin further informs the general public that they can contact helpline numbers 0191-2520982/2674444/2674115/2674908/2549676 in Jammu Division and 0194-2440283/2430581/2452052/2457313/2457312 in Kashmir Division for any kind of guidance and assistance.
In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24×7 by calling toll free number 108 while as pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialling toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach national helpline by dialling 1075.Further the bulletin also informs the public that for any kind of COVID-19 query, logon to www.covidrelief.jk.gov.in
