Rajouri admin discusses Cororna control measures with traders, civil society members

Rajouri :To seek the cooperation of civil society, including trader Union in the containment of coronavirus, the district administration Rajouri on Friday held a meeting with BeoparMandal and civil society members.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner RajouriVikasKundal along with SSP, Mohammad Aslam, ADDC, Pawan Kumar Parihar, ADC Sachin Dev Singh and other officials of civil administration and Police.
President Municipal Council Rajouri, Vice President Municipal Council, chairperson of BeoparMandal and civil society members were part of the meeting where a threadbare discussion was held on the prevailing situation of coronavirus in the district.
The participating civil society members and traders put forth their suggestions underlining the need to step up sampling at all entry routes of main towns, holding of awareness camps, NukadNataks and involvement of religious leaders in the creation of awareness about the CAB.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sachin Dev Singh explained in detail the efforts being taken to contain the spread of the virus in the district. He informed about vaccination as well as sampling going on in all the parts of the district. They also put forward suggestions like strengthening of entry points, No mask no ration and mass distribution of masks.
He further said that even after recent snowfall the teams of the health department assisted by officials of other departments are carrying out both vaccinations as well as sampling in a devised manner.
Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Pawan Kumar Parihar also underlined the need for cooperation from civil society and said that efforts for containment of virus can only produce fruitful through the joint working of official machinery and civil population.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Mohammad Aslam discussed in detail the plan of action of police for containment of viral infection in the district.
He said that both in cooperation with civil administration teams as well as independently, the teams of police departments are regularly patrolling areas especially the town areas and legal action as per law is being taken against those who are found violating COVID19 SOPs.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal said that along with vaccination and sampling, COVID Appropriate Behavior is a must to contain the further spread of the virus. He hailed the cooperation extended by the civil population of Rajouri district since the start of this pandemic 2 years ago and hoped that the population of the district will keep inculcating the same corporation.
About the massive vaccination drive especially for children going on in the district, the Deputy Commissioner said that the response of people in villages is praiseworthy and efforts being put in by the vaccination teams of the government are highly appreciable. He also said that the district administration is committed to the welfare of the public and all the suggestions have been jotted down and every effort will be made to contain the transmission.
It was also decided in the meeting that Home Surveillance will be started in the district for effective containment of the infection.
The Deputy Commissioner further appealed to all the people to come out of their houses only after following all the standard operating procedures of coronavirus containment.
He also discussed several steps taken by the administration in the Rajouri district for COVID containment. The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to the public to ensure vaccination of their children between the age group 15-18 years
