Ramban :Indian System of Medicine AYUSH Department Ramban Friday organized virtual and physical performance of ‘Surya Namaskar’ Aasan on the occasion of MakarSankranti under ‘AzaadiKaAmrutMahotsav’ campaign here at different venues across the district.
The programme was held at AYUSH dispensaries and other offices. Other departments also organized similar programmes at different locations by adhering to Covid SOPs.
As per the Government Guidelines, the least number of staff and students participated in the Surya Namaskar events.
As per District Nodal Officer, Ramban, Dr. Sanjay Chadha, the participants evinced keen interest as such practices improve physical fitness, mostly when they are in home isolation due to Covid-19 restrictions.
District Youga Officer, Dr.MasoodZargar interacted with participants virtually and encouraged them to participate despite harsh winter climatic conditions.
