Budgam : Police on Thursday said that it has solved a burglary case in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district and also arrested an accused within 24 hours in this connection.
In a statement issued on Thursday police said that Police Station Budgam on Wednesday this week received a complaint from one person namely Mohammad Hussain Malla resident of Paller Budgam about theft of gold ornaments worth 1.5 lakhs by some unknown person/persons from his house.
Stating that a case vides FIR number 12/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation was initiated, police in it’s statement further said that during the course of investigation many suspects were called for questioning and during questioning one of the suspects namely Ajaz Ahmed Rather son of Showkat Ahmad Rather resident of Dangerpora Sumbal Bandipora confessed his involvement in the commission of crime, stating therein further that on his disclosure, stolen property including four golden rings & 10 ear rings were recovered.
Police in it’s statement also said that the accused was arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police resolved to act tough against the individuals involved in criminal activities.
