National Youth Day observed at Baramulla

Baramulla|: In connection with National Youth Day, a day-long function themed ‘Role of Youth in Nation Building’ was organised Wednesday at Community Hall Bagh-e-Islam, Baramulla.
The programme was aimed at making the participants aware about their responsibilities towards nation building.
The National Youth Day is celebrated across the country in remembrance of great and dynamic leader Swami Vivekananda.
During the programme, students of various schools participated in the competition.
The speakers during the programme threw light on the contribution and efforts of Swami Vivekananda for nation building. They said that he was the man who worked tirelessly for the overall socio-economic development of the country.
The position holders who performed well were awarded with trophies and prizes on the spot. Andleep from SRM Welkin Sopore bagged the first position while Fazila from St.JosephBaramulla and Aayat from SRM Welkin Sopore were adjudged second and third respectively.
Among others, President Municipal Council Baramulla, TawseefRaina; officers, teachers, counselors, social activists and other prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
