GRS from Block Ang disengaged on embezzlement of funds

Srinagar |: Acting tough on charges of embezzlement, the District Level Committee for Managing Human Resource issues under MGNREGA chaired by District Program Coordinator, MGNREGA, DrPiyushSingla Wednesday ordered the disengagement of services of a Gram RozgarSahayak (GRS).
GRS posted in block Anantnag is engaged as a contractual under the MGNREGA. He was alleged to have forged signatures in SBM scheme operational in Block Anantnag. Accordingly a departmental enquiry was initiated into the matter and on the basis of the enquiry he is being disengaged from the services. It was given out that the wrong committed by the GRS is grave and heinous to the extent that if he is allowed to continue it will be detrimental to the interests of the department. Hence, it is in the interest of things to disengage the GRS immediately.
