Jammu : Tawi Lift Irrigation Canal and Ravi Canal would be closed from tomorrow to carry out desilting/urgent repair works and modernization works.
The concerned Executive Engineers directed to take up the desilting of canals, urgent repairs of canals and their network and pumping machinery wherever necessary immediately and ensure its completion well before the recharge of canals for the coming irrigation season of Kharief crop.The date of opening of the canals shall be notified separately.
