DDC Chairperson Udhampur inspects dev works in several Panchayats

Udhampur| : District Development Council, Chairperson, UdhampurLal Chand Tuesday conducted an exhaustive tour of PanchayatBarolla, Dhanoo, Patta and Mand East and inspected the ongoing development works.
During the visit, the DDC Chairperson also inspected the construction work of Dhanoo Bridge over DuddarNallah. Executive Engineer PMGSY briefed the Chairperson that the steel girders and other raw material required for the construction of the bridge have been fully installed. The DDC Chairperson directed for timely completion of the project to benefit the people.
En-route, the DDC Chairperson also inaugurated a hand pump at PanchayatMand East W.No. 8 under PRI Capex grant in presence of local Sarpanch of the Panchayat. He also congratulated the locals for fulfilling their long pending demand for a hand pump.
After the inauguration, the DDC Chairperson also interacted with the locals and stressed upon them to avail benefits under various flagship welfare schemes and programmes launched by J&K and central government.
The DDC Chairperson also visited Government Higher Secondary School Barolla and Government High School Kotli where he inspected the land for construction of 3 Additional class rooms (ACRs) including a Hall. The DDC Chairperson also appreciated the tireless efforts made by local SarpanchArti Sharma to fulfill the demand of drinking water of the area.
Among others, SarpanchPanchayatKambalDangaShashi Paul, SarpanchPanchayatMand East Arti Sharma SarpanchPatta, Social Worker VirChander, Retd. Master Mastan Singh, were also present.
