District Admin Gbl carries series of activities on Covid-19 SOPs, CAB

Ganderbal: The District Administration Ganderbal today carried out a series of activities to combat the threat of Covid 3rd wave in the district.
Throughout the day, the District Administration carried out various activities including announcement through publicity vans, distribution of masks besides inauguration of booster doses for frontline workers and healthcare workers and above 60 years with co-morbidities.
Municipal Council Ganderbal carried daylong awareness regarding the looming threat of Covid 3rd Wave (Omicron) in various wards of the town. Besides, it also distributed masks among the people and were urged to take all precautionary measures and follow CAB.
The Health department has kick-started booster dose vaccination for frontline/ healthcare workers besides senior citizens with co-morbidities at 10 vaccination sites including at District Hospital, SDH Kangan.
Earlier, a mock exercise was held at SDH Kangan regarding preparedness for the 3rd wave in which healthcare workers and locals participated.
Enforcement team imposed fine on 253 CAB violators and an amount of Rs. 32300 was realised across the district.
