DC Shopian inspects snow clearance process on various roads of the distt

DM also, Inspects functioning of Distt Hospital

Shopian /: Amid fresh snowfall, Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Saturday personally monitored the Snow clearance operations on Mughal Road Heerpora besides inspected functioning of District Hospital Shopian.
On the directions of DC Shopian, SDM, Zainapora and all the Tehsildars have swung into action and geared up men and machinery for snow clearance to facilitate the movement of people.
DC also visited several remote villages of the district to take stock of the snow clearance operation and the status of delivery of essential services.
He also took stock of power supply scenario, availability of drinking water and healthcare services available in the Public Health Centers.
Meanwhile DC, lauded the efforts of the field staff in clearing the roads on a war footed basis besides restoring water supply and electricity. He said that the restoration of electricity is being carried out with continuous efforts of the field staff in their respective areas.
He said multiple teams have been constituted to supervise restoration of essential services. Moreover, he said that the teams tour their designated areas to personally monitor the snow clearance operations and restoration of essential services.
DC was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Shopian, Shahbaz Ahmed Boda, TehsildarShopian and other senior officers of the district.
