Mayor Srinagar visits different wards to review snow preparedness

Srinagar : In wake of fresh Snowfall forecast prediction, Mayor Srinagar visited various administrative wards in Srinagar City to review snow clearance arrangements that has been put in place in all wards of Srinagar City.
He visited ward 4 Rainawari, ward 8 Khojyarbal, ward 12 Hazratbal , Meerakhshah Colony, Ward 13 Batpora, Ward 14 Zakura, Ward 15 90 feet Soura.
Yesterday MrMattu visited Ward 2 Lal Chowk, Ward 30 Jawahar Nagar, Ward 31 Chanpora Ward 32 Hyderpora ,Ward 33 Humhama and other areas.
Mayor Srinagar who was accompanied by concerned Corporators of these wards along with Senior Officers of the Corporation including Joint Commissioner Works MrRajinder Singh, Executive Engineer Mechanical MrItratNaseem, Chief Sanitation Officer Nazir Ahmed Baba, Chief Transport Officer MohamadSayadShiekh, Assistant Compost Officer Mohamad Ashraf ,all Ward Officers , Sanitary Inspectors passed on clear instructions to the concerned that there should be no lack in snow clearance drives as it has to be swift and prompt snow removal exercise in case of fresh snowfall.
Mayor on the occasion directed concerned that besides clearance of snow from pavements/ footpaths embankments, It has to be ensured that the interiors of the residential areas are to be kept in focus simultaneously for snow clearance.
No household or pedestrian should face any inconvenience emphasized Mayr Srinagar.
At Rainawari ward, MrMattu stressed that ward officers shall fix the responsibility beatwise in every ward for smooth conduct of snow clearance drives.
He said there should be no snow left unattended anywhere in the residential areas in other wards of the city too said Mattu.
An organsised team work has to be done in snow clearance drives with a proper Coordination among one and all further retierated Mattu.
At ward 8 Khojyarbal Mayor visited various areas including KathiDarwaza where he interacted with the locals of the area.while putting forth the issues pertaining to Drainage, water and maintenance of Park ,MrMattu assured the locals that all their genuine demand and issues will be resolved in time.
He also visited interiors of Meerakshah Colony and ward office where he inspected the functioning and readiness of snow clearance vehicles stationed in the ward and passed on directions that their services shall be pressed in place immediately when there is a snow fall.
He also looked at the arrangements being made for drivers at ward offices and directed the concerned to make sure the proper arrangements are in place for night stay of drivers and other staff.
Mattu visited ward Batpora, Nagbal, Soura.Each and every concerned official on the occassion were directed not to show any deriliction on their duties in snow clearance exercises.
Besides Men and Machinery including Snow clearance vehicles Robots, snow loaders, SMC will be pressing into service eight new snow plough’s for snow for swift snow clearance drives.
