Jammu : Continuing with its endeavour to look after the welfare of families of slain and deceased Police personnel/SPOs besides serving Police personnel/SPOs, the Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh has sanctioned rupees 67 lakh special welfare relief, financial assistance in favour of NoKs of martyr/deceased Police personnel. He has also sanctioned a welfare loan of rupees three lakh in favour of serving police personnel for his treatment.
According to a police statement issued here on Friday Special welfare relief of Rs 22 lakh each has been sanctioned in favour of legal heirs of three deceased Police personnel including SI Mohammad Zafarulla, ASI Nissar Ahmad Qureshi, and HC(Tel) Pawan Sharma who have passed away due to illness or natural death. The special welfare relief has been sanctioned out of the Contributory Police Welfare Fund.
Rs one lakh each in advance was provided to the NoKs of these deceased personnel for performing the last rites as immediate relief through their concerned DDOs.
Vide another order financial assistance of rupees one lakh has been sanctioned out of J&K Police Pariwar fund in favour of a widow of martyr in connection with treatment of her son and also to ease up financial distress.
Welfare loan of Rs 3 lakh has been sanctioned out of the Central Police Welfare fund in favour of one serving Police personnel to meet the expenses in connection with his treatment, who is suffering from chronic disease.
Police headquarters under different welfare schemes is providing welfare relief/loan, financial assistance to all the ranks of Jammu and Kashmir Police including the wards of martyr/deceased police personnel and SPOs.
