Shopian :The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Saturday convened a meeting of Rent Assessment Committee (RAC), at mini secretariat Arhama, here.
DDC, also chairman of the Rent Assessment Committee held a detailed discussion with concerned departments that are functioning from rented accommodations in the district and with the owners of these buildings.
A total of 07 cases came under discussion pertaining to different departments running in private buildings including 2 cases of Handicraft, 1 of Agriculture, Social Welfare, Pollution Board, Geology & Mining and ISM Department.
After a detailed deliberation, the committee approved all cases. The DDC directed the concerned officers to expedite the payment of rents as per the rates approved in the meeting.
Among others the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Khursheed Ahmad Khatana, SE R&B, Exen R&B, Chief Agriculture Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, District Mineral Officer and the representatives of Pollution Control Board, Handicrafts and ISM.
