DDC Rajouri asks for expeditious completion of works

Jan 21 deadline set for meeting yearly target of PDs generation

Rajouri: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal Saturday asked for the timely allotment of all the tenders for the expeditious completion of works in the district.
He was chairing a meeting of the concerned officers to review the physical and financial achievements of the RDD sector under various schemes.
Officers who attended the meeting included ACD, SushilKhajuria; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ExEn REW, Bashir Ahmed and Block Development Officers.
The meeting held detailed discussion on a number of points including Persons days generation, PMAY, MGNREGA, timely payment, tendering of works, aadhar seeding, bunkers, FTOs generation etc.
Taking stock of progress achieved under mandays generation, the DDC sought a detailed report from the concerned officers in this regard who in turn briefed about the same. He asked the concerned officers to achieve the yearly target of PDs generation by 21 January, 2022.
Regarding blockwise geo-tagging, the concerned officers were directed to work on a war footing basis to ensure that all the assets are geo-tagged at the earliest.
Taking stock of aadhar seeding, it was informed that the progrest in this regard is 89.1 percent. DDC asked the concerned officers to maintain a close liaison with the banks and the beneficiaries to get the accounts of all the job card holders linked with Adhar within the shortest possible time.
Talking about the timely payments, the DDC asked the concerned to ensure timely payment of wages to the beneficiaries so that they don’t suffer because of delayed payments. He also asked for expediting the payment process and ensuring ninety percent achievement in this connection by the end of next week.
Discussing the progress achieved under PMAY-G, it was informed that against the target of 30661 houses, as many as 11570 houses have been constructed till date. He also asked for ensuring timely payment of installments to the beneficiaries.
While taking a note of low progress concerning allotment of tenders, the DDC asked the concerned officer to ensure that all the floated tenders are immediately allotted for the expeditious completion of the works.
He also directed the concerned officers to make sure that all the ongoing works are completed within the set deadlines to provide necessary benefits to the general public with the completion of the works.
DDC also asked for maintaining quality while executing the developmental works.
He also underscored the need to proactively resolve the issues of the public and advised the concerned officers to undertake regular field visits to address issues and concerns, if any, of the people at the grassroot level.
