Anantnag : The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Wani Thursday chaired a DLTC meeting, here.
The committee reviewed system for fixing of scale of finance for every crop which in turn determines the extent of credit facility extended to the farmers. In addition to this, the limit of KCC is also decided based on the scale of finance, crops grown and area cultivated.
The DLTC meeting was convened to fix the scale of finance for providing short term loans in the shape of Working capital for maintenance, fooder, fertilizer, pesticides, labour etc.
The chair was informed that there is a need to enhance the loan facility in some agri activities to meet out the capital investment required by the farmers to achieve the best results.
The ADDC while speaking on the occasion said that the district officers must get the feedback from the field staff and farmers regarding optimal credit facilities that must be extended to them.
He further directed the District officers to revisit and justify the enhancement, if any.
The credit facility for each crop was discussed and a decision was taken to enhance the facility as per the market rates and availability.
The meeting was attended by DLC coordinator ACC Bank, LDM, AD SKUAST, SDM NABARD, Cluster head JK Bank, District Coordinator SBI, District Manager EDB, PNB, CAO, CHO, CPO, CAHO, CSHO, AD Fisheries and the farmers.
