DC Kathua finalizes Scale of Finance for agriculture, allied sectors at DLTC meeting

Kathua | : Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Yadav, Thursday chaired a District Level Technical Committee (DLTC) meeting to finalize the Scale of Finance for the year 2022-23 (Kharif 2022 & Rabi 2022-23) for Agriculture, Horticulture, Floriculture and other allied sector Crops here at DC Office.
During the meeting, the vital issues regarding the finalization of scale of finance of different Agriculture and Horticulture Crops was approved by the Committee for Kissan Credit Card (KCC) holders of Kathua district.
The DC laid special emphasis on providing assistance to Spice Crops under One District One Product (ODOP) and Dragon Fruit beneficiaries in Kathua district to enhance the additional farm income of the farmers. He also emphasized on launching high density apple plantations in Kathua region.
The KCC limit for local and exotic breeds of Cows/Buffalo was proposed by Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kathua to ease the credit facility to the beneficiaries. Similarly, the KCC limit of Sheep flocks was enhanced to mobilize sheep rearing beneficiaries in the region. The Scale of Finance for Fisheries related intervention for Fish Growers was also finalized in the meeting.
Among others, CPO Kathua, Chief Agriculture Officer Kathua, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kathua, DDM Nabard, LDM Kathua, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Kathua, Assistant Director (F), besides other senior officers from the concerned departments and Banks were present in the meeting.
